This is a consumer-oriented fire pump unit designed to float in a home swimming pool and allow the property owner to douse the house with water, prior to the arrival of the fire department. In the situation of an earthquake or firestorm (wind driven forest fires) property owners / residents are often "on their own" to protect their property and themselves. In addition to protecting one's home, the Knockdown would help solve and possibly eliminate the quick spreading characteristics of in-home fires, and around home forest fires. This would allow residents living in remote or secluded areas to have the ability to Knockdown fires.

Development: The Inventor, Mr. Graham Hebert, conceived the idea for the Knockdown as a result of personal interest in protecting his own home from fire damage, plus felt there is a definite need for such a product throughout the world. Mr. Herbert is the Design Engineer at a High Pressure Water Blasting manufacturer in California. When he is not working, he enjoys sailing and has always been intrigued with just how many fires Californian's alone deal with each year. Using his everday experience and knowledge of pressurizing water he developed Knockdown.

The F 1900 PH model has a two-cycle gasoline engine, an output volume of 35 gallons of water per minute, a water spray height of 40 feet, a 50 minute running time and a weight of 16 pounds. The F 2700 PH model has a four-cycle gasoline engine, an output volume of 80 gallons of water per minute, a 90 minute running time and a weight of 46 pounds.

Both models have a pull start rope, an air cooled single cylinder gasoline engine with solid state ignition, a fuel tank, a water pump, a pump inlet water strainer/filter, a rotational molded flotation collar, and 50 feet of one-inch fire fighting grade discharge hose, with adjustable spray tip. This allows the rooftop of a two story structure to be reached.

The Knockdown is light enough for one person alone to handle and operate the unit. The water pump is self priming with an almost instant supply of pressurized water upon activation. It requires no electrical or city water supply to operate.
