Port Aransas, Texas Redfish
Hi! Bob and Bobby,
Steve & Kennon Payne from San Antonio, Texas here. I wanted to send you these photos from a fishing trip we took recently to the Horace Caldwell Pier in Port Aransas, Texas. These nice reds were caught in the surf using a rig like you suggest in your web site (How to Catch Redfish). This fish was 43 inches long and weighed about 45 lbs! It took her 15 minutes to land it.
The one on the left is the fish my wife caught and mine is on the right. (Notice mine is smaller!) We need a bigger ice chest!
This is my friend Chester and his fish. It was a 41 incher and wore him out bringing it in. We caught this one and four others in two hours.
