This is the elusive Torpedo Fish, It is in the Cod family. It was caught after a lengthy fight, (12 beers) the black area on the tail, called a "flag", means this is a pre-spawn female. Mr. Bill Pope, an experienced seasoned angler, quickly returned this rare species to the Western Louisiana waters where it is found, and promptly returned to his half empty case of beer!
